Freebie Friday: Pop Art Umbrella

Happy Friday!

Who doesn't love Friday? Especially when you get something for free? Freebie Fridays is a series on This Fresh Fossil in which I unleash a bit of my extra-creativity: for you. I'm a professional graphic designer who loves to design and wants to help you organize your life, have fun with your hobby, connect with friends and decorate your digs, by giving you a free design every Friday. Whether it's in the form of labels for organizing, cool artwork that you can print and frame, printable greeting cards, photographs, patterns, scrapbooking art, or more - every Friday there will be a custom free design for you.

So! Are you guys excited? I know I am!

Thanks to all who those took the poll last week when I asked what type of designs you would be most interested in. I was pleasantly surprised to find that most of you wanted printable artwork! Why? I love creating art and designs most of all, it's right up there with photographs (which came in 2nd place, followed closely by patterns). So I am pretty pumped about this new series here on This Fresh Fossil.

Are you guys ready for the first of many-to-come free downloads?

After all the compliments on the umbrella photograph I posted earlier this week (taken because of our recent excavation of our long-ago-buried patio), I thought it would look pretty nifty all done up in a pop-art-ish style, using bright colors to portray the summer sun. Doesn't it have a bit of a beachy vibe? I think it would provide an awesome pop of bright color in any room - for some reason the bathroom seems like a good spot for it, too, maybe with some other bright-green or yellow accents.

To download (269 kb, .jpg file), just click the image to open it full-size, then right-click and select "Save Picture As" and save it to your computer. It is an 8x10" image, but you have the option (using the Windows printing system) to print it any size you wish - 5x7, 4x6, etc.

Let me know what you guys think! Do you like it? Would you like to see more images in a pop art style? Do you have a certain color preference? Feel free to make requests! You never know - maybe that piece of art you've been wanting will be up here next week.

(Oh, and while all my work is custom, if you'd like something more personalized, like a blog header, logo, photo manipulation, etc, please feel free to contact me to discuss your project and custom pricing. Thanks!)
